Consideration of a Planning Board recommendation for an
ordinance to rezone from General Commercial-1 to Mix ed
Use-5, a parcel located at the southwest corner of
10thStreet and Magnolia Street, Sean McNeil, applicant, on
behalf of Panhandle Plus Properties, LLC, owner.
Recommend: Approval of the Planning Board
recommendation and proceed with first reading.

Commissioner Wengel moved approval of the Planning Board recommendation of
Ordinance No. 2342.2torezone from General Commercial-1 to Mixed Use-5, a
parcel located at the southwest corner of 10thStreet and Magnolia Street, as
requested by Sean McNeil, applicant, on behalf of Panhandle Plus Properties, LLC,
owner. Commissioner Rader seconded the motion.

Mr. Bill Holland of 428 Hollis Avenue spoke in opposition to the rezoning of the
property.

Mr. Sean McNeil, Dr. Jeff Sharkey, and Ms. Mary Robinson spoke in support of the
rezoning

On a roll call vote Commissioners Wilson, Rader, Wengel, and Mayor Scott
Clemons voted “YEA”.  “NAYS”:  Commissioner Kady.  The City Clerk certified
the motion passed by a 4-1 vote.  The Ordinance was read by title only as a first
reading, as shown below:

ORDINANCE NO. 2342.2
AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PARCEL OF PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 910 HARRISON AVENUE, PANAMA CITY,
FLORIDA, HAVING APPROXIMATELY 1.5 ACRES,
MIX ED USE-5, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
